Built on a solid 925 sterling silver core. Choose sterling silver, or 14K gold vermeil — a thick layer of real 14K gold over that same sterling silver, not the cheap brass plating that turns skin green. Hypoallergenic and comfortable for everyday wear. (Solid 14K gold — coming soon.)

How to personalize: Upload one clear photo in the personalization section. If you can't upload it there, simply reply to your order confirmation email with the photo. Then choose color, length and chain style.

Photo tips: Choose a bright, in-focus photo where faces are close to the camera and clearly visible. Photos with 1–4 people look best on the disc — the closer the faces, the more detail we can engrave. We remove the background for you, and older photos or scanned prints work too.

Choose your chain: Cable (delicate and classic), Figaro (Italian-inspired link), Box (sleek and sturdy — shown in the photos), Curb (bold, flat links) or Paperclip (modern and trend-forward). Each chain has its own fixed price. 18" is our most popular length for disc pendants.

How do I send my photo?
Upload it in the personalization section when you order. If that's not possible, reply to your order confirmation email with the photo and we'll match it to your order.

How many people can be in the photo?
1–4 people look best. Larger groups can work if the faces are close together, but each face becomes smaller and less detailed.

Can I use an old or printed photo?
Yes — take a clear picture or scan of the print and upload it. If a photo won't engrave well, we'll contact you before making the piece.

Do I need to remove the background?
No — our designers remove the background and prepare the portrait for engraving.

Can I engrave my pet instead?

What is gold vermeil, and is it better than gold-plated?
Gold vermeil is a thick layer of real 14K gold over solid 925 sterling silver. Gold-plated jewelry usually has a much thinner layer over brass or other base metals, so vermeil lasts longer and is kinder to sensitive skin.

How long does delivery take?
Each necklace is made to order in 1–3 business days after we receive your photo, then ships in 2–5 business days within the US. Express shipping is available.
